Who is Melissa Hudson?
Hi there, I’m Melissa! I am a licensed real estate agent living and working in King County, Fairwood to be exact! I have helped clients as south as Tacoma and as north as Redmond… and everywhere in between, even at Suncadia! I am a real estate broker for the top selling Rosie Rouke Real Estate Team based out of Fairwood near Kent and Renton. My passion is helping clients, thinking outside the box, and using my background in marketing/entrepreneurship to negotiate deals and protect my client’s investment!
I am a mom of 3 amazing kids and wife to my amazing husband Josh! I love all things Disney, cooking, gardening, homesteading, coffee, traveling and wine tasting!
So... are you from around here?
I was born and raised in the Fairwood/Renton area, and I am a graduate from Lindbergh High School. I am also a 2 time Fairwood homeowner (bought first home in 2005, second home in 2016) with my husband Josh and my 3 kids, Natalie, Reese and Wyatt (the twins!). Being from the Renton, Kent, Maple Valley areas, I understand the unique area we live in and the complexities and uniqueness of each neighborhood. I have lived and worked in South King County for most of my life. Community ties also run deep in my family. My mom has been a local business owner for 30+ years and my husband’s family has had a local business in Renton for 40+ years! I am also involved in the local schools, various charity organizations, co-founded the Fairwood Alliance, Renton Rotary, the Fairwood Country Club and several local chambers. And of course… a lifelong Seahawks Fan!!!
How did you get into real estate?
Great question! Before I became a licensed agent I was actually a marketing director for a large service company in the area. In 2009 my husband and I decided to start our own marketing agency called H5 Creative! Over the years I was able to tackle and learn many different industries, real estate being one of the areas I fell in love with! Being a home owner myself and a lover of interior design, I knew someday my passions my passions would collide. In 2015 we decided to sell our home so we could upsize to a larger one. We called the best realtor in our area… Rosie Rourke! Her and her team were amazing! After selling our home and buying our current one in our dream neighborhood, Rosie hired our company to help her with some marketing. A few weeks later I was offered a full time position on her team as an agent… I guess I made an impression! I took the leap and it was the best decision I have ever made… except for marrying Josh, of course! Fast forward 10+ years and I am cosidered one of the top agents in the area and on a Top 100 KW team in the US! PINCH ME!!!
What about awards... how good are you?
